Candidates filed as of deadline 2 June 2020 From Lisa Greer, Adair County Clerk The filing deadline for candidates to be on the November General Election ballot was effective at 4pmCT Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Voting can begin Monday. Offices included Soil Conservation, School Board and City Council - the list of candidates follows. Columbia City Council candidates are: Sharon Payne, Linda Waggener, Mark Harris, Ronald Rogers, Robert Flowers, Craig Dean and Ben Burris. School Board candidates are: Troy Grider, District 5; Dana King, District 2; and David Karnes, District 4. Soil Conservation candidates are: Larry Burton, James E. Bennett, Brent Baker and Mike McMinoway. Anyone wishing to vote in person for the Primary Election may do so starting Monday June 8, 2020 though Monday June 22, 2020 Monday-Friday 8am-4pmCT and on the Saturdays of June 13 and 20th from 8am-11amCT. No appointments necessary, just walk in and vote, if that is your choice - Election Day, June 23, 2020 from 6amCT until 6pmCT, voting is in the basement of the Adair County Annex Building, 424 Public Square, Columbia KY 42728. There will be a public drawing for ballot positions in the Office of Adair County Clerk Lisa Greer, 424 Public Square, St3, Columbia KY on Thursday July 16, 2020 at 2pmCT.
