KSP: Meade County Multi-Fatal Collision By Trooper Scotty R. Sharp, KSP Justice & Public Safety Cabinet Muldraugh, KY. (May 27, 2020) - A two vehicle collisions in Meade County results in multiple fatalities Tuesday evening. At approximately 5:47 p.m., Kentucky State Police, Post 4 Elizabethtown received a call for assistance from Meade County Dispatch with a two vehicle fatality in Muldraugh. Meade County Dispatch advised that the collision was near 362 North Dixie Highway (US 31W). The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox being operated by Synthia Armstrong (52), of Brandenburg, was traveling south on US 31W when for unknown reasons she crossed the centerline and into the path of a 2003 Cadillac CTS headed northbound operated by Christina M. Diaz (44) of Louisville. Both Armstrong and Diaz, along with 12-year-old female passenger of Diaz's car were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Meade County Coroner's office. A 14-year-old male passenger of Diaz's vehicle was transported to University of Louisville Hospital and was later pronounced deceased. A 11-year-old male passenger of Diaz's vehicle was transported to Norton Children's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A 7-week-old of Armstrong's vehicle was uninjured but was also transported Norton Children's Hospital for examination. Kentucky State Police was assisted by the Muldraugh Police Department, Meade County Sheriff's Department, Muldraugh Fire Department, Meade County EMS, Hardin County EMS and Meade County Coroner's Office.
