Kentucky Color: Homeplace Peony

By Billy Joe Fudge
Homeplace Peony so full of grace;
Your empowering waves of delicate lace
Folded and flowing above gray rock wall,
Nodding in ghostly breezes not felt at all
Speak of the unblemished beauty of Eden.
The heart of eternity within you is breathen',
For as it has been it shall remain,
As with wintry cold and spring rain.
