Sunny today, high 74, chance of storms tonight

It's currently 55F at the Adair County Mesonet station. It will be sunny today, with a high near 74F. Calm wind becoming northeast 5 to 7 mph in the morning.

Tonight will bring an 80% chance of showers, as a low pressure system approaches the region from the Central Plains. A few rumbles of thunder are expected as well. The main threats from these storms will be brief gusty winds, small hail, and locally heavy rainfall. Expect an overnight low around 53F, with east wind 6 to 8 mph.

Showers and the possibility of a thunderstorm will continue on Tuesday. High near 68F, with east wind 8 to 13 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 22 mph.

Tuesday Night will be mostly cloudy, with a slight chance of showers and an overnight low around 42F. West wind 6 to 13 mph.
