KSP Post 15 issues January Activity Report

Year starts with 3 traffic deaths in January vs. none in January 2017. Two of the fatalities were in Taylor County, one was in Clinton County, KY.

KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY

COLUMBIA, KY - (Thu 1 Feb 2018) During the month of January 2018, there were 9 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.

There were three fatal collisions during the month of January in the Post 15 area.

This brings our yearly fatality count to 3 compared with 0 through this same period in 2017.

During the month of January 2018, there were 1060 citations written, 238 courtesy notices written, 971 vehicles inspected, 654 complaints answered, 130 motorists assisted, 46 criminal cases opened and 272 criminal arrests made.
