Kenneth D. Burton, 66, Knifley, KY (1958-2024)

Kenneth Dale Burton of Knifley passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was 66 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 3pmCT on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Roger Holmes officiating. Burial will follow in the Caldwell Ridge Cemetery at Knifley.

Visitation will be after 1pmCT on Sunday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.


He was born in Glasgow, KY on February 21, 1958, to the late Finis Edwin and Jewell McQueary Burton.

Mr. Burton enjoyed talking on his CB radio, where he was known as "Triple Nickel", working on lawnmowers, and spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his companion Peggy Raines of Knifley, KY; two children Ken Burton (Chenoa) of Greensburg, KY, and Natalie Burton Smith (Cory Peach) of Campbellsville, KY; bonus children Stephen Lynn (Melissa) of Cumberland Furnace, TN, and Jessica Lynn (Tony) of Liberty, KY; six grandchildren Chezney Burton, Keely Burton, Ember Smith, Ryder Smith, Carson Ray, and Kailie Ray; bonus grandchildren Paige Jones, Bryce Lynn, and Silas Lynn; a brother Coy Burton (Donna) of Columbia, KY and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Ruby Burton Roberts, two brothers Joseph and Don Burton, and a nephew Bobby "Bubby" Roberts.

Pallbearers will be Moses Lee, Tony Poff, Stephen Lynn, Doug Holmes, Kenny Joe Burton, Jason Burton, Kenny Bottoms, and Greg Greer.
