Gracie Parrott Fulkerson passes national boards

Congratulations to Gracie Parrott Fulkerson - Licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director officially from the Kentucky Board of Embalming and Funeral Directors. Gracie graduated from Campbellsville University in 2022 with a B.A. Degree in Business Administration and went on to graduate from John A. Gupton College of Mortuary Science in December 2023 and became licensed by the State of Kentucky on February 14, 2024. Gracie not only passed state board exams, but also national board exams.

Gracie is the wife of Kade Fulkerson of Greensburg; daughter of Walt and Deana (Coffey) Parrott; granddaughter of: Mr. & Mrs. Billy Dean Coffey of Columbia.

Deana Parrott says, "We are very proud of Gracie and her continuing the family tradition of excellent service. Her pride and heart for what she has been called to do is shown in her care and love for the community and the families that her, her family and staff of Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home get to serve."


Gracie is the fourth-generation funeral director and embalmer with a great family history of funeral service. Starting with her great-grandfather, Fred L. Parrott who was owner and operator of Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home (along with son, Robert "Bob" Parrott); grandfather, Walter Lee Parrott, Sr. owner and operator of Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home (along with wife, Rose Parrott who was a licensed funeral director); and father, Walter Lee Parrott, Jr. (along with wife, Deana Coffey Parrott, also a licensed funeral director).

Gracie Parrott Fulkerson has passed state and national board exams and is now a fully licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director. She will be the fourth generation to work at Parrott and Ramsey Funeral Home, started by her great-grandfather, Fred L. Parrott.
