LWC Women's golf in first at UPIKE Fall Invitational

Prestonburg, KY - The Lindsey Wilson women's golf team sits in first place following the first of two rounds at the UPIKE Fall Invitational at Stonecrest Golf Course.

The No. 22-ranked Blue Raiders shot a team-total 305 today to sit five strokes ahead of second place Cumberlands (Ky.). Cumberland (Tenn.) is in third place at 28-over par, followed by Midway at 29-over par and Campbellsville (Ky.) finished just one stroke behind at 30-over par.


Georgetown (Ky.), Pikeville(Ky.) and Shawnee State (Ohio) round out the leaderboard.

Bo Park carded a 3-over par round to sit tied for second with Midway's Jenna Lewis. The two trail only Campbellsville's Kylie Withrow who carded a 1-over par round.

Dacie Bolton sits in fourth place after posting a 4-over par, 76, as LWC teammates, Tara Rodenhurst and Courtney Vincent are just one stroke behind after both carded a 77.

Logan Jenkins shot a 7-over 77 on the day. She sits in a tie for 16th place.

The final round of the UPIKE Fall Invitational is scheduled for Sunday at the Stonecrest Golf Course, 918 Clubhouse Dr, Prestonsburg, KY.
