Remembering Ed Waggener: Will miss the visits, advice

By Patty Edwards

I have struggled for the words to say to express my deepest sympathy and heartbreak to hear of Ed's passing. It will never be the same to not receive his calls in the early morning hours for our menu for the 'What's cooking' section of Columbia Magazine.

I will terribly miss the frequent visits from Ed and Linda and the joy of their company, laughter, and amusing stories he had experienced and could tell only as a devoted writer could. The knowledgeable advice given to me from him about business moves and changes and doing what works.

But most of all I will miss seeing the true love and camaraderie between the two of them. The playful quirks, the total independence and dependence they had in each other. The coming days, weeks and months will be difficult to say the least. You all are in my prayers daily for God's loving arms to comfort and console you. Remember the good times and pleasures of the life you shared to see you thru.
My heartfelt sympathy for you,
--Patty
