LWC Men's Soccer hosts Goshen on Saturday afternoon

The No. 9-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team hosts Goshen (Ind.) in a top-25 matchup at 2pmCT, Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Holloway Drive, Columbia, KY.


The Blue Raiders (5-1-1) return to action at Walter S. Reuling Stadium after a 2-0 victory over Menlo (Calif.) last Sunday. Senior defender and captain, Yuta Yamamoto netted his first goal of the season with a penalty, to give the Blue Raiders the lead in the 17th minute. Karim Jouini scored the second goal of the match in the 65th minute to put the game away for Lindsey Wilson.

The Blue Raiders have scored 13 goals in the seven games played with six players getting to the back of the net at least once.

The Maple Leafs (5-3) visit Walter S. Reuling Stadium for the first time after defeating Indiana University East in an 8-0 rout. Goshen has scored 28 goals so far this season with Stuart Aeschliman leading the way with six goals in six appearances. The Maple Leafs have six players with two goals or more so far in the season.

Saturday's match is the first meeting between the two programs.
