Special preview of National Wildlife art exhibit opening Frankfort, KY - Showcasing some of the nation's finest works of wildlife art, the Ohio Valley Art League and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources will offer a special preview of the upcoming Kentucky National Wildlife Art Exhibit on Sunday, Sept. 23 in Henderson, KY. In addition to the special preview, the event will also feature an exclusive presentation by nationally-recognized juror Kathy Kelsey Foley, who will discuss the defining qualities of select pieces chosen for the exhibit. The special preview and presentation by Ms. Foley is free and open to the public, and will be held at 4pmCT at the Preston Arts Center's Stagg Room, 2660 South Green Street in Henderson, KY. Foley serves as director of the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin. The museum, known for its Birds in Art exhibit, won the 2017 National Medal for Museum and Library Services. Foley's background includes an undergraduate degree in art history from Vassar College and a master's degree in art history from The John Hopkins University. In 2014, she was inducted as a Fellow by the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters. The 13th biennial Kentucky National Wildlife Art Exhibit officially opens on Oct. 3 and runs through Nov. 29 at the Preston Arts Center. Select pieces on display at the exhibit will be available for purchase. A separate reception and awards presentation for the National Wildlife Art Exhibit will be held on Oct. 20 from 5-7 p.m., also free and open to the public at the Preston Arts Center.
