Euline Bowe, 76, Columbia, KY (1942-2018)

Euline was a devout Christian and longtime active member of the First Baptist Church, and later Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Montpelier, KY, where she served in many other church functions, including a soloist and prayer warrior. She worked at Osh Kosh and for the KY Dept of Parks, and owned/managed numerous local businesses in Columbia.

Euline Bowe, 76, of Columbia, died Friday, September 14, 2018 at 1:40pmCT at her home.

Visitation will be after 5pmCT on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 1pmCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville St, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Bobby L. Bowe delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Allen Cemetery in Cumberland County.


She was born September 8, 1942 in Columbia, Kentucky to the late Robert Wallace Wheat, Sr. & Mary Lee Ewing Wheat. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings, Jo Ann Clairbourne, Robert Wallace Wheat, Jr., Joyce Wheat, Annie Wheat Curry, Mary Eleanor Wheat Jones & Roberta Wheat.

Euline was a devout member of the Christian faith and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Columbia. As a member of Columbia First Baptist Church, she served as an usher board member, was a member of the church choir and participated in several other church functions. At her passing, she was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Montpelier, KY, where she served in many other church functions, including a soloist and prayer warrior.

She was an employee of Osh Kosh B'Gosh sewing factory in Columbia and Marrowbone, KY, where she served as training instructor, supervisor, and machine operator. She was also an employee of the Kentucky Department of Parks, serving as a waitress, hostess and dining room supervisor. She was the former owner/manager of Bowe's Pool Room, Bowe's Laundry and Dry Cleaners and co-owner of Bowe Rental Properties, LLC in Columbia.

Survivors Include:
  • Her Husband of 32 years - Rev. Bobby Louis Bowe of Columbia
  • One Son - Phillip Bowe & his wife Brandi of Clarksville, TN
  • Four Grandchildren - Damian, Deniyah, Delilah & Danielle Bowe all of Clarksville, TN
  • One Brother - William Russell "Billy" Wheat, Sr. of Columbia
  • Two Sisters - Della Hughes & her husband Glen "Dagwood" of Columbia & Vivian Rowe of Elizabethtown, KY
  • A host of other relatives & friends also survive
Casket Bearers: Russ Wheat, Michael Burbridge, James Burbridge, Clifford Burbridge, Tershera Curry, Tershana Hughes & Marquis Curry.
