Michael Lewis Richardson, 61, Liberty, KY (1957-2018)

Mike worked hard to provide for his family, he was a farmer who took pride in his home and farm at Poplar Hill for 41 years. Mike enjoyed sports with a passion for over 20 years he had coached his kids, nephews, nieces and grandchildren in basketball. Mike was a vivid wrestling and U.K. fan.

Michael Lewis (Mike) Richardson age 61, of Liberty, KY passed away on Thursday September 13th, 2018 at Baptist Health Lexington.

Visitation will be held 5pmET till 9pmET Saturday September 15th, 2018 and after 9amET Sunday September 16th, 2018 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY-49, Liberty, KY. Funeral Services will be held at 2pmET Sunday September 16th, 2018, at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Creech Richardson, Bro. Chris Hatter and Bro. Gary Vest officiating. Burial will be in the Willow Springs Cemetery.


He was born in Danville, KY on January 11th, 1957, a son of the late Lewis and Sandra McFarland Richardson.

Mike was an employee of R.R. Donnelly where he worked for 30 years and attended Bruce's Chapel United Methodist Church.

Mike worked hard to provide for his family, he was a farmer who took pride in his home and farm at Poplar Hill for 41 years. Mike enjoyed sports with a passion for over 20 years he had coached his kids, nephews, nieces and grandchildren in basketball. Mike was a vivid wrestling and U.K. fan.

Survivors include: His Spouse: Patricia Phillippe Richardson with whom he was married to for 44 years, One Son: Michael Erick and (Amy) Richardson of Burgin, KY, One Daughter: Miranda Richardson and (Joe) Martindill of Liberty, Four Grandchildren: Mariah, Mason, Mackenzie and Addie Richardson, Three Step-Grandchildren, One Brother: Mark and (Cheryl) Richardson of Liberty, Maternal Grandmother: Virginia McFarland of Danville, KY and a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death besides his parents was one son: Michael Ellis Richardson, one sister: Teresa Gay Richardson and his grandparents: Troy and Geneva Richardson and Oatley McFarland.

The family requests Memorials be made to Bruce's Chapel United Methodist Church Youth.
