LWC Men's Golf finishes in 7th at NAIA Memphis Shootout By Chris Wells Memphis, TN - The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team finished today's NAIA Memphis Shootout where it started, in seventh place at the TPC Southwind. The Blue Raiders completed the two-day, three-round event with a team-total 911 (301-300-310). William Carey (Miss.) won the tournament with an 877 (292-289-296) while Taylor (Ind.) finished in second place with an 883 (297-295-291). Callum Blinkhorn fired a team-best even-par 71 today over the par-71, 6,591-yard TPC Southwind layout. He climbed three spots of the leaderboard and finished in a tie for fifth. Blickhorn -- who won his first collegiate tournament last week -- battled back from making three bogeys over his first six holes to card birdies on the 13th, 16th and 17th holes to post the 71. He concludes the event with a three-day total of 216 (71-74-71). Taylor's Alec Dutkowki and Indiana-East's Tyler Pearson each shot 207s to post the top individual score in the 13-team, 69-man event. Etienne Rensburg made one of the biggest jumps in today's final round with his best 18 holes of the tournament. He carded a 1-over par 72 to finish in a tie for 22nd -- after starting in 42nd position -- with a 227 (82-73-72). Rensburg recorded two birdies and an eagle today but suffered three bogeys and a double bogey in the round to end with the 72. Cody Mingus finished tied for 42nd with a 233 (72-77-84). Jeremiah Hayes (79-76-84) and Morgan Grace (79-77-83) tied for 47th with 239s. Lindsey Wilson returns to the course on Sept. 29-30 as the Blue Raiders travel to the Mid-South Conference Fall Tournament at Stonecrest Golf Club, 918 Clubhouse Dr, Prestonsburg, KY Prestonsburg, Ky.
