Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 11 Sept 2018

Indictments brought against 7 individuals from Columbia, Greensburg, and Burkesville, KY, on charges including rape, sodomy, assault, trafficking, possession, promoting contraband, and video voyeurism.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 11 September 2018:


  • James T. Hash, Bridgeport Circle, Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00201. Charged with 96 counts. Counts 1-16 - Rape, 1st degree. Counts 17-32 - Sodomy, 1st degree. Counts 33-48 - Sexual abuse, 1st degree. Counts 49-64 - Rape, 1st degree. Counts 65-80 - Sodomy, 1st degree. Counts 81-96 - Sexual abuse, 1st degree. Bail set at $100,000 cash, arraignment 10/9/2018 at 1pmCT.

  • Tyler Jospeh Salmon, Yates St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00202. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in marijuana, 8oz-5lbs, 1st offense. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail set at $2,500 cash, arraignment 10/9/2018 at 1pmCT.

  • Nikki Lynn Riter, Guthrie St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00203. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in marijuana, 8oz-5lbs. Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Arraignment 10/9/2018 at 1pmCT.

  • Armando Penaloza, aka Armendo Penaloza, Carrie Bolin Dr., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00204. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Assault, 2nd degree. Count 2 - Alcohol intoxication in a public place. Bail set at $10,000 cash, arraignment 10/9/2018 at 1pmCT.

  • Aylia R. Hurt, Beech Rd., Burkesville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00205. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Promoting contraband, 1st degree. Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree. Count 3 - Possession of a controlle substance, 3rd degree. Arraingment 10/9/2018 at 1pmCT.

  • Billy Huddleston, Jr., Hwy 768 E., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00206. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Video Voyeurism. Count 2 - Voyeurism. Count 3 - Promoting a minor under age sixteen in a sexual performance. Count 4 - Promoting a minor under age sixteen in a sexual performance. Count 5 - Criminal attempt to commit promoting a minor under age 16 in a sexual performance. Bail set at $150,000 cash, arraignment 10/9/2018 at 1pmCT.

  • Stephanie L. Cruse, Sam Gentry Rd., Greensburg, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00207. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, 10+ DU opiates. Bail set at $2,500 cash, arraignment 10/9/2018 at 1pmCT.
