2018 HGR Fall Heritage Festival may be record setter - preliminary MMQ Monday morning quarterbacking - the immediate follow-up given to Homeplace Events to review what worked and what didn't, is still in progress. But this preliminary report indicates that one of the best concepts for a harvest time event was another huge success. Official final stats will be posted later, when they can be reliably reported by the HGR staff Click on headline for complete story with photo(s) Information from Homeplace on Green River The official tally is not yet in, but the 2018 Homeplace on Green River just may have set a record, despite the threat of rain and one of the busiest weekends of massive events in South Central Kentucky, including Revisit Knifley, a huge football game at Blue Raider Stadium, and Bicentennial Celebration in Edmonton. Still, the crowds came, to an event which now "has a life of it's own," with a large base of devotees watching and checking for events that families - particularly - just won't miss. "We do not have any attendance figures, yet," HGR publicist George Kolbenschlag said yesterday, "because the money counters are still at work. We all took a day off yesterday (Sunday). Besides it must be in the Bible somewhere about not counting your money on the Sabbath." But he did send photo(s) and the word that the HGR Fall Festival had capacity crowds all day, Saturday.
