Jim Hudson: Comment on roundabout for 'Bypass & Burkesville'

Comments re photo 80649 Mark Hale Solutions found in Georgia to Bypass safety problem

Jim Hudson writes:
Roundabouts are better suited for more urban type areas that have lower speed limits, not areas where the speed limit is 55 mph. Also, the traffic counts would be too low for a two lane roundabout. - Jim Hudson
Thanks, Jim Hudson - You might be right for what is, but there are those who are going beyond "What Is," to "What can be," and are thinking of lower speed limits all around, and of ways of working with a more-receptive-to-innovation Kentucky Highway Department to make changes. That seemed to be the approach at the forum held at the intersection on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, with a pragmatic "Good Sense" approach to achieve change. - EW
