She was a member of a highly regarded Metcalfe County, KY, family. She was the daughter of the late Argle & Allie Vance Jeffries and he widow of James Murrell Hurt. She leaves one direct living descendant, her daughter, Shelby Neel of Elizabethtown, KY.
