Mechanical malfunction blamed for motorcycle crash on KY 900 - ACSO reports

Eastbound rider loses control of motorcycle in curve, strikes fence and travels along fence short distance before being thrown over fence as vehicle comes to a rest. Crash occurred just before 12pmNoonCT, Sunday, September 2, 2018. 75-year-old rider treated on scene by Adair EMS, then transported to TJ Samson in Glasgow, KY. Adair County Sheriff Harrison Moss reports that on Sunday, September, 2, 2018 at approximately 11:40amCT, Adair County Deputy Josh Durbin responded to a injury accident involving a motorcycle around 2 miles down Hwy 900.



Preliminary investigation determined that 75 Year old Kenneth Walker of Columbia was riding eastbound on KY Hwy 900 when he lost control in a curve due to a mechanical malfunction.

Walker then traveled off the left side of the road striking a fence, then traveling down the fence for a short distance when the motorcycle came to rest on its side.

Walker was thrown on the other side of the fence.

Walker was treated by Adair County EMS on the scene then transported by EMS to TJ Samson Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

Deputy Durbin was assisted on the scene by Adair County EMS.
