Castle Edward Wade, 74, Russell Springs, KY (1944-2018)

He was a security guard at Stephens Pipe and Steel. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and will be accorded full military honors at committal rites at Mill Springs National Cemetery. He was the patriarch of a respected Russell County, KY family, including his only daughter, Kristie Wade of Columbia, KY. He was the son of the late Gordon Byron & Frances Ellen Childress Wade He leaves four direct and one step- living descendants.

Castle Edward Wade, 74, of Russell Springs, died Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

Funeral service for Castle Edward Wade will be 11amCT, Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Willard Bryant & Bro. Asa Wooten officiating. Visitation will be after 9amCT, Wednesday. Burial in the Mill Springs National Cemetery, 9044 KY-80, Nancy, KY with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard. Pallbearers: Leon Childress, Winfred Harris, Danny Bailey, Dennis Bailey, Drew McGowan, and Duane Popplewell.

He was born February 11, 1944 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Gordon Byron & Frances Ellen Childress Wade. He died Saturday, August 25, 2018, in Lexington, Fayette County, KY, at the age of 74 years, six months, and 14 days.

He was a Security Guard at Stephens Pipe & Steel and a Veteran of US Army.

  • Four brothers - Jerry Wade, Russell Springs, KY; Iva Wade, Windsor, KY; Milton Wade, Russell Springs, KY; Phillip Wade, Russell Springs, KY
