He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and will be accorded full military honors at committal rites at Mill Springs National Cemetery. He was the patriarch of a respected Russell County, KY family, including his only daughter, Kristie Wade of Columbia, KY. He was the son of the late Gordon Byron & Frances Ellen Childress Wade He leaves four direct and one step- living descendants.
