Nick Hale, Public Information Officer Kenturcky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY GREEN COUNTY, KY - (Wed 15 Aug 2018) - On August 14, 2018 at approximately 9:24pmCT, Trooper Scott Curry conducted a routine traffic stop on a white 1988 Dodge pickup truck, 2 miles North of Greensburg, KY, on KY 61. The operator of the vehicle was cited for careless driving. A passenger in the vehicle, 34 year old Tony Wright of Greensburg, KY, consented to a search resulting in a small zip up baggy being located in his pocket. The bag contained a small smoke pipe, a straw with residue, rolling papers, a small plastic bag with marijuana, a small vile believed to contain methamphetamine and a xanax pill. Wright was arrested and charged with Possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (methamphetamine,) possession of a controlled substance, 3rd degree- drug unspecified, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and prescription controlled substance not in proper container 1st offense.Wright was lodged in the Taylor County Detention Center.
