Helen Piercy , 82, Taylor Co./born Russell Co. KY - Formerly of Adair Co., KY

April 17, 1935 ~ August 14, 2018 (Age 82)
Mrs. Piercy attended the Green County Church of Christ, Greensburg, KY and was a homemaker. She enjoyed singing, dancing and making music. She was the daughter of the late John & Antha Grant Compton. And the widow of Russell Flatt, Homer Veach, and Calvin Coolidge - Chuck- Piercy. She was the matriarch of a great family, with direct descendants numbering 29 children and grandchildren, plus hosts of great grandchildren, many great- great- grandchildren. Three step children also survive. Her final resting place will be in her native Russell County, at the Ragan Cemetery on KY 55 South Road, in Adair & Russell Counties, KY.

Funeral service: Friday, August 17, 2018 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg, KY, Columbia, KY, with clergy officiating, Danny McCain/ Interment in the Ragan Cemetery in Russell County, KY. The family will receive friends after 4pmCT, on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in Columbia, KY.



Helen Piercy, 82, Taylor Co., KY/Russell Co. KY native (1936-2018)

She was born April 17, 1936 in the Olga Community of Russell County, KY the daughter of the late: John & Antha Grant Compton. She died Tuesday, August 14, 2018, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 82 years, three months, and 28 days.

She was preceded in death by these husbands; Russell Flatt in 1982, Homer Veach in 1990, Calvin Coolidge - Chuck- Piercy, in 2003. She was preceded in death by one son, Stevie Flatt in 2011. Mrs. Piercy attended the Green County Church of Christ, Greensburg, KY and was a homemaker. She enjoyed singing, dancing and making music.

She is survived by:
  • Five daughters - Judy (Roger) Blair of Russell Springs, KY; Barbara "Tuter" (Manford) Bloyd of Russell Springs, KY; Patsy (Darrell) Hadley of Jamestown, KY; Sheila Hicks of Campbellsville, KY; and Tara (Dennis) Haulk of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two sons - Dennie Flatt of Russell Springs, KY, and Homer (Allison) Veach Jr. of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three step children - Ricky Veach and Ronnie Veach both of Russell Springs, KY; and Pat Stewart of Lebanon, TN

  • One sister - Louise Andrew of Russell Springs, KY

  • Twenty-two grandchildren

  • A host of great grandchildren

  • And many great great grandchildren
