She was a member of Beulah Chapel Church and a housewife. She loved spending time with her family. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Thomas & Lyda McGaha Holt, and the widow of Charlie Alexander She was a member of a large, respected Adair County, KY, family. She leaves 11 direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in Murrell Cemetery.

Brenda Kay Alexander, 76, Brenda Kay Alexander, 76, of Columbia, KY, died Friday, August 10, 2018 at 1:34pmCT, at Signature Health Care at Summit Manor, Columbia, KY.

Funeral services will be at 2pmCT, Monday, August 13, 2018, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Bobby Withers the officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Murrell Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Sunday, August 12, 2018, at the funeral home.



Brenda Kay Alexander, 76, Adair County, KY (1942-2018)

She was born on August 2, 1942 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Jessie Thomas & Lyda McGaha Holt. She died Friday, August 10, 2018, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 76 years, eight days.

She was the widow of Charlie Alexander.

She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers, Linda Gail Sutton, Dallas Ray Holt and James Holt.

She is survived by:
  • Three daughters - Patricia Nell Alexander of Columbia, KY; Pam (Dewayne) Smith of Columbia, KY; and Kathie (Troy) Keltner of Milltown, KY

  • Two brothers - C. J. Holt and Ronnie Holt of Columbia, KY

  • Two sisters - Mary Ann Wilson of Liberty, KY, and Lois Jean Callison of Macon, GA

  • Seven grandchildren - John Doss, Ashley Smith Helm, Ann Marie Alexander, Angie Mae Alexander, Kylan Keltner, Kelsie May Keltner, Kaleb Keltner

  • One great grandchild - Casen Coffey

  • Several nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives & friends
Brenda was a member of Beulah Chapel Church, a house wife and loved spending time with her family.
