Kay Frances Crawley, 80, Taylor County, KY (1937-2018)

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom after more than thirty years. She loved to travel with her family and enjoyed taking pictures of old churches and cemeteries. Kay was known for her lovely decorating and found peace being outdoors and reading books in her rocking chair. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She married J. D. Underwood September 4, 1954 and he preceded her in death May 30, 1984. Kay later married Sam Crawley May 23, 1985 who survives.

Kay Frances Crawley of Campbellsville, KY died Friday, August 3, 2018 in Campbellsville at the age of 80.

Funeral services will be held at 10amCT/11amET Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home by Dr. James E. Jones. Burial will follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4-7pmCT/5-8pmET Monday, August 6, 2018 at the funeral home.



Kay Frances Crawley, 80, Taylor County, KY (1937-2018)

Kay Frances Crawley of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Johnny Cravens and Elizabeth Parrott Cravens, was born September 3, 1937 in Taylor County, KY. She died at 9:25pmET Friday, August 3, 2018 in Campbellsville at the age of 80 years, 10 months.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Kay was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom after more than thirty years. She loved to travel with her family and enjoyed taking pictures of old churches and cemeteries. Kay was known for her lovely decorating and found peace being outdoors, and reading books in her rocking chair.

She united in marriage to J.D. Underwood September 4, 1954 and he preceded her in death May 30, 1984. Kay later married Sam Crawley May 23, 1985.

  • Her husband - Sam Crawley

  • One son and daughter-in-law, John and Lisa Underwood of Greensburg

  • Two step-daughters - Connie Wise and husband, Brian, and Phyllis Gruver and husband, Larry, of Campbellsville

  • One granddaughter - Erin Arnett and husband, Ryan of Greensburg

  • Seven step-grandchildren - Angella Watson and husband, Craig of Columbia, Nick Wise and wife, Robyn of Louisville, Thomas Wise and wife, Alison of Nashville, TN, Rachel Keeton and husband, Will of Lexington, Scott Gruver and wife, Xiufeng of Boston, MA, Jason Gruver and Stacy Morris and husband, Kyle of Louisville; eight great-grandchildren and an expectant great-grandson; and many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Lynn Underwood and one brother, Johnny "Buddy" Cravens.
