Personal Commentary

The memory of the price of fuel at 1.59 per gallon seems so long ago and far away! I too, noticed the disparity in prices between out-of-town and here in Columbia.

Sunday, July 29, 2018, observing the 2.55 fuel price in Campbellsville versus the 2.79 in Columbia, did what any wise person would do - filled up my vehicle in Campbellsville.

After reading about this issue for the past several days, and wondering what if anything could/would be done. . .. was totally astounded to ride past several fuel stations in Columbia selling fuel for an increase from 2.79 to 2.89 per gallon.

What is with that? For me and my budget, it's worth the extra "few" miles in any direction to purchase fuel for my economy vehicle outside of Adair County . . . sad but true. -Diane R Wallace
