He made a profession of faith, was a retired heavy equipment operator, and loved to fish and spend time with family. He was the patriarch of a highly regarded family. He was a native of Columbia, KY, and a resident of Simpsonville, KY, at the time of his death. He leaves six direct living descendants, including two daughters, Holly Edwards Grimsley and Sherri Edwards Chunn, formerly of Columbia and now both of North Carolina.

Terry Lee Edwards, 73, Simpsonville, KY, formerly of Columbia, KY, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at 1:05pmET, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY, after an illness.

Cremation was chosen. A Memorial Service for Terry Lee Edwards, will be held from 4pm-6pmCT Friday, August 10, 2018, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, with a sprinkling of ashes immediately following at Tarter's Chapel Cemetery, 4360 Milltown Road, Milltown, Adair County, KY. Bro. Randy Johnson will be the officiating clergy..

He was born on March 15, 1945 in Columbia, Adair County, KY. He was the son the late Margie Edwards Bryant Lemmond. He died Friday, July 27, 2018, in Louisvile, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 73 years, four months, and 12 days.

He made a profession of faith, was a retired heavy equipment operator, and loved to fish and spend time with family.

He was preceded in death by one son, Efren Edwards, in 1989; one brother and one sister, David Bryant and Betty Jo Bryant Jarrell; and by step-fathers Clifton Bryant and Ray Lemmond and cherished life partner of 30 years, Geraldine Blevins.

He is survived by:
  • Two daughters - Holly Edwards Grimsley & husband Charles of Concord, NC; Sherri Edwards Chunn & husband Paul of Mt. Pleasant, NC

  • One sister - Judy Bryant Taylor of Concord, NC

  • Three brothers - Randall Bryant of Fayetteville, NC; Phillip Bryant of Mt. Pleasant, NC; and William Barry Bryant of Louisville, KY

  • Favorite uncle & aunt: Lucian & Lottie Edwards of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • Seven great grandchildren

  • And several nieces and nephews
