Bryant, age 46, pled guilty to one (1) count of Human Trafficking, a Class B Felony. He also pled guilty to forty-five (45) counts of Sodomy in the Second Degree and two hundred, fifty (250) counts of Possession of Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance by a Minor. Bryant appeared in Adair Circuit Court with his attorney, Hon. Theodore Lavit of Lebanon, and acknowledged that he was guilty of each of the 296 charges. One (1) count of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Minor was dismissed. Commonwealth's Attorney Brian Wright is recommending that Bryant serve thirty (30) years in prison for these crimes against children. The charges were the result of an investigation led by Kentucky State Police Trooper Adam Likins that began in May 2017. Likens was contacted by officials with the Department of Community Based Services regarding allegations that Bryant had sexually abused a child. The investigation by Trooper Likens corroborated the sexual abuse allegations and also uncovered thousands of images of child pornography in Bryant's possession. Wright thanked Trooper Likens, the Kentucky State Police, and DCBS for conducting a thorough investigation in this case and helping to secure a guilty plea and lengthy prison sentence for Bryant. Final sentencing is scheduled for September 25, 2018, at 1pmCT, before Adair Circuit Judge Judy Vance Murphy. This story was posted on 2018-07-25 11:05:23
