FRANKFORT, KY (Wed 25 Jul 2018) - Police in Campbellsville arrested a man who allegedly broke into the home of an elderly couple Tuesday night and demanded the keys to their car. When the homeowner refused, the man knocked the 83-year-old man down, WHAS-TV reports on its website.

The suspect then ran to a nearby gas station where he reportedly confronted a young girl and told her to get out of her car. When she refused, the man allegedly punched her in the head.

Police arrived on the scene and the suspect reportedly tried to escape into a nearby ravine but was recovered by responders and arrested.

The suspect has not been identified by police.
