Donna Vanarsdale Bivens, 65, Adair County, KY (1952-2018)

She was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was a member of a leading South Central Kentucky family, the daughter of the late Everett Stanton & Floy Lee Burris Vanarsdale, and the widow of Sam Bivens. She leaves five direct living descendants.

Donna Gail Vanarsdale Bivens, age 65 years of Columbia, KY passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:18pmET at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral services will be Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 1pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY with Bro. Larry Johnson & Bro. Bobby Withers officiating. Visitation will be after 4pmCT Wednesday, July 18, 2018. Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Keltner and Doug, Ronnie, Joe, Alan, Daryl and Kevin Vanarsdale.



Donna Gail Vanarsdale Bivens, 65, Adair County, KY (1952-2018)

She was born on August 8, 1952 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Everett Stanton & Floy Lee Burris Vanarsdale. She died Thursday, July 14, 2018, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 65 years, 11 months, and six days.

She was the widow of Sam Bivens, who preceded her in death on January 3, 2008. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Jansen Reeves Wilkerson, July 2, 1995, one brother & two sisters, Paul Vanarsdale, Rena Carter & Lou Keltner.

She is survived by one daughter:
  • One daughter, Stephanie & her husband Rob Wilkerson of Columbia, KY

  • One son, Chad & his wife Pam Bivens of Columbia, KY

  • One brother, J. C. & his wife Elizabeth Vanarsdale of Columbia, KY

  • Two sisters, Doris & her husband Sonny Miller of Jamestown, KY; Judy Miller & her husband Kenneth of Jamestown, KY

  • A sister-in-law, Dorothy Nell Vanarsdale of Columbia, KY

  • Three grandchildren, Jordan (Katlyn) Knifley, Dillon Wilkerson & Emily Bivens

  • Several nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends
She had professed faith in Christ and was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family.
