Naomi Ruth Robertson Green, Cumberland Co., KY (1937-2018)

She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Burkesville, KY and attended Liberty United Methodist Church in Bow, KY. She was a seamstress for Sutton Shirt Corp. and a homemaker. She was a member of an outstanding Church of the Nazarene family. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Bruce and Sister Amy Hendren Robertson. She was a native of Madison County, IN, and a resident of Burkesville, KY, at the time of her death in Warren County, KY. She leaves 14 direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY.

Mrs. Naomi Ruth Robertson Green, 81, of Burkesville, KY passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital, Bowling Green, KY.

The Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 3pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY. Burial will be in the Burkesville Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 5pmCT on Sunday, July 15, 2018 until the funeral hour on Monday.



Naomi Ruth Robertson Green, 81, Burkesville, KY (1937-2018)


She was born in Anderson, Madison County, IN, on Sunday, January 31, 1937. She was the daughter of Rev. Bruce and Sister Amy Hendren Robertson. She died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 81 years, five months and 10 days.

She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Burkesville, KY and she attended Liberty United Methodist Church in Bow, KY. She was a seamstress for Sutton Shirt Corp. and a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Green, whom she wed on Friday, May 6, 1955; her brothers, Donald Robertson, Phillip Robertson, Stephen Robertson and Paul Robertson; her sisters, Rita O'Bryant and Martha Caroline Simpson, and her grandson, Gregory Allen Green. She is survived by:
  • Her sons, David Eugene Green of Burkesville, KY and Terry Allen Green of Burkesville, KY

  • Her daughter, Sharon Cope of Marrowbone, KY

  • Her sister, Mary Johnson of West Memphis, AR

  • Her five grandchildren, Davy, Chucky, Michael, Stephanie and Ashley

  • Her eight-great-grandchildren

  • Plus a host of other relatives and friends
