Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 26 June 2018
Indictments brought against 19 individuals from Columbia, Campbellsville, Irvington, Russell Springs, Jamestown, Somerset, Lebanon, and Louisville, KY and Hickman and Lenoir City, TN, on counts including possession, trafficking, reckless driving, flight, theft, promoting contraband, and flagrant nonsupport.
NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 26 June 2018:
- Cody H. Cowan, Vester Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00149. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Possession of marijuana. Arraignment 08/14/2018 at 1pmCT.
- Christopher A. Dickson, Liberty Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00150. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Possession of marijuana. Arraignment 08/14/2018 at 1pmCT.
- Dustin T. Wilt, Brock Burris Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00151. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlle substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. - Freda Lynn Whittle, Lakeway Dr., Russell Springs, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00154. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Fleeing or evading police, 1st degree. Count 2 - Reckless driving. Count 3 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc. .08 aggravating circumstance, 1st offense. Count 4 - Possession of open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle. Arraignment 7/24/2018, 1pmCT.
- Devon M. Perkins, Ashley Ct., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00155. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense, methamphetamine. - Jason M. Woodard, Beth Lane, Hickman, TN Indictment No. 18-CR-00157. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Fleeing or evading the police, 1st degree. Count 2 - Operating on a suspended/revoked operators license. Count 3 - Reckless driving. Count 4 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 5 - Speeding, 26mph+ over limit. - Tena Woods, Allen Schoolhouse Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00158. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking/disposition, $500 or more but under $10,000. Arraignment 7/24/2018, 1pmCT.
- Freddy Burress, Jr., Speck Ridge Rd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 18-CR-00159. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense, methamphetamine.
