He was a native of Green County, KY, resident of Taylor County, KY at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Adolphus & Zannie Burton Estes. His wife, Marsha Lawson Estes, survives. He leaves five direct living descendants. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Estes was employed at Ingersol-Rand and retired after many years of service. He spent his years doing what he loved, from playing cards or fishing, to watching NASCAR or Kentucky basketball, but his passion was his grandchildren.

Mr. Billy Dean Estes, 61, Campbellsville, KYm departed this life on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his home in Campbellsville.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Estes on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 11amCT/12pmNoonCT, in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funreal Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY. Bro Dave Walters will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Greensburg Road, Campbellsville, KY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Tuesday, June 5, 2018.



Billy Dean Estes, 61, Green County, KY (1957-2018)

Mr. Billy Dean Estes was born in Green County on January 29, 1957. He was the sopn of the late to the late Adolphus & Zannie (Burton) Estes. He departed this life on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at his home in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 61 years, four months, and five days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Estes was employed at Ingersol-Rand and retired after many years of service. He spent his years doing what he loved, from playing cards or fishing, to watching NASCAR or Kentucky basketball, but his passion was his grandchildren.

His love for his family will forever live through those he leaves behind, including:
  • His wife: Marsha (Lawson) Estes, Campbellsville, KY

  • Two daughters: DeAnna Humpress and husband Jason, and Laura Estes, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two brothers: his twin Bobby Estes and wife Donna of Campbellsville, KY; and Roger Estes of Greensburg, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Justin Humpress, BreAnna Humrespp, and Benzley Tucker

  • His mother-in-law: Laura Lawson of Campbellsville, KY

  • Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Tina Estes of Greensburg, KY; Alene Estes of Greensburg, KY; Wanda Gray of Campbellsville, KY; and J.C. Lawson and wife Peggy of Campbellsville, KY

  • And a host of other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Doug Estes, Jerry Estes, and Henry Estes.
