It's Indians v Eagles in 21st District Baseball Championship - TONIGHT The ACHS Indian Baseball Tribe plays a District Championship game against the Campbellsville Eagles tonight at 6pmCT/7pmET, at Campbellsville High School, 230 W Main Street (campus), Campbellsville, KY. Click on headline for complete story By Debra Cowan The Adair County High School baseball tribe will travel to Campbellsville tonight, Thursday, May 24, 2018, to face the Campbellsville Eagles in the District Championship game. The game begins at 6pmCT and the Tribe would love to have the bleachers full of Indian fans. The game will be played on the Eagles' field at 230 West Main, Campbellsville, KY. The Tribe earned this championship game by defeating a very good Taylor County Cardinal team on Monday night. In that game, Junior Ace pitcher Layndon Carter was exceptional on the mound shutting out the Cardinals in seven innings of work. He struck out 11 batters allowing only 4 hits. Another key to the game was timely hitting as the Tribe brought their big sticks to the plate, notching 9 total hits and plating 4 runs. Blake Biggs, who is on a monster hitting streak, lead the way with an outstanding 4 for 4 at the plate. Will Feese, Gabe Cowan and Blake each recorded a double in the game while Mason Carter added 2 hits to the mix. Adam Doss and Cody Hourigan both contributed runs as well. Don’t miss your chance to see this team compete for Adair County’s third district championship in five seasons. Roll Tribe! - DC This story was posted on 2018-05-24 10:26:11
