Marian Clair Parker, 77, Taylor County, KY (1940-2018)

She married Ronald Evan Parker, who survives, and they would have celebrated their 42nd Wedding Anniversary on July 10 of this year. She was a talented artist, loved helping the needy, loved to fish and play golf and never met a stranger. Prior to retiring she had worked as an Administrative Assistant and was of the Catholic faith. Her final resting place will be in Taylor County, KY.

Marian Clair Parker, 77, died Monday, May 21, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, FL.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018, at 11amCT, at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, 503 E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY, with The Rev. Fr. Saju Vadakumpadan officiating with Rev. Clay Wheeler assisting. Burial will follow at Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, with bearers being Stephanie Francis, Mary Wheeler, Johnnie Lewis Parker, Bill Logan Parker, Chris Parker and Brian Tucker. The family request visitation on Thursday evening, May 24, 2018 between the hours of 4pmCT/5pmET and 7pmCT/8pmET at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Marian was born in Jacksonville, FL on November 9, 1940. She was the daughter of the late James Edward, Sr. & June Della Richardson Weeks. She died Monday, May 21, 2018, in Jacksonville, FL at the age 77 years, six months, 12 days of age.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Henderson, two brothers-in-law, Harlin Parker and Allen Parker and a sister-in-law, Iona White.

She married Ronald Evan Parker and they would have celebrated their 42nd Wedding Anniversary on July 10th of this year. She was a talented artist, loved helping the needy, loved to fish and play golf and never met a stranger. Prior to retiring she had worked as an Administrative Assistant and was of the Catholic faith.

Besides her husband Ron, she is survived by:
  • Six children: a son Christopher Johnson and companion Jamie, and son Matthew Johnson, both of Jacksonville, FL; a daughter Catherine Doty and husband David of Buck County, PA; a daughter, Shannon Agosta and husband Craig of Mt. Holly, NC; a son Kevin Parker of Mannsville, KY; and a son Anthony Parker and wife Jessica of Whitney Island, WA

  • Her siblings: Jackie Hodgson of Green Cove, FL; Debbie Wiggins and husband Jeff of Jacksonville, FL; Jim Weeks and wife Jane of Easley, SC

  • A brother-in-law, Johnnie Parker and wife Regina of Elk Horn, KY

  • Two sisters-in-law: Burma Wheeler of Campbellsville and Patsy Riggs of Chicago, IL

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Seven great grandchildren

  • And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
