The Blue Raiders shot 43-over par in the first round and are 31 strokes behind team leader SCAD Savannah (Ga.). Courtney Vincent is the highest Blue Raider on the leaderboard in a tie for 17th place after shooting a 5-over 77. She cruised through the first five holes with pars before bogeys on two of her last four holes put her at 2-over on the front nine. Vincent was up-and-down on the back nine, starting with three pars and a birdie on the par-4 13th. But then she followed with a double bogey on 14, and two pars later, she tripled the par-3 17th. Vincent closed out her round with a birdie on the par-5 18th. Tara Rodenhurst is tied for 88th place after carding a 12-over 84 during the first round at the par-72, 5,847-yad course. She played the front nine to 5-over and finished the back nine at 7-over. One stroke behind her is Dacie Bolton and Shayna Cockrill in a tie for 96th place with 13-over pars. Bolton played the front nine to 2-over, highlighted by a birdie on the par-5 sixth, but dropped 11 strokes on the back nine to finish at 13-over. Cockrill was 7-over on the front and 6-over on the back, her lone birdie of the day coming on the par-3 17th. Megan Kriz completes the team after she finished her day with a 91 in a tie for 138th place. SCAD Savannah's Corinne Grans-Wood leads the tournament after shooting even-par on the day.
