Carl Davis Hines, 76, Metcalfe County, KY

October 12, 1941 ~ May 20, 2018 (Age 76)

He was retired from Eaton Corporation and a was deacon of the Lone Star Baptist Church. He was the patriarch of a highly regarded family, the son of the late Lloyd & Amanda Nell Froedge Hines, and the widower of Elsie Brown Hines. He leaves six direct living descendants. His final resting place will be at the Lone Star Church Cemetery in Metcalfe County, KY.

Carl Davis Hines, 76, of Glasgow, KY, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018 at NHC Health Care in Glasgow.

Funeral services will be held 2pmCT, Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the Lone Star Baptist Church, 3867 Lone Star Road, Edmonton, KY with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 2:30pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, May 22, 2018, and after 9amCT, Wednesday at Butler Funeral Home, 201 E Street, Edmonton, KY.


Carl Davis Hines, 76, Metcalfe County, KY (1941-2018)

He was the son of the late Lloyd & Amanda Nell Froedge Hines. He was born October 12, 1941. He did May 20, 2018, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 76 years, seven months, and eight days.

Carl was retired from Eaton Corporation and a deacon of the Lone Star Baptist Church.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Elsie Brown Hines.

He is survived by:
  • One son: Gene, and wife Janice Hines of Glasgow, KY

  • One grand daughter: Melinda, and husband Matthew Riggs of Clarkson, KY

  • One sister: Janie, and husband Cleve Francis of Louisville, KY

  • Three great grandchildren; Mason, Madison and Molly Riggs

  • A brother-in-law: Garon Norris of Edmonton, KY

  • Niece and nephew: Mandy (Jeff) Wood and Alan Francis
