Elizabeth Edna Burk, age 95 of Burkesville, KY, formerly of Monticello, KY passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

Funeral service will be Monday, May 21, 2018 at 1pmCT/2pmET, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Wayne County, KY, with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Monday, May 21, 2018 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church from 10amCT/11amET, until time for the service.



Elizabeth Edna Burk, Burkesville, KY (1922-2018)


She was born on October 20, 1922 in Wayne County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Francis Burk & Flora Brown Burk. She died Friday, May 18, 2018, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 95 years, six months, and 18 days.

She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Wayne County where she was the longtime Sunday School Secretary.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Blanche Muse and Mabel Smith.

Survivors include:
  • One sister: Francis Ramsey and her husband Lewis of Monticello, KY

  • A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews along with her church family and friends.
