JIM/History: Advertising in Columbia newspaper 90 years ago

The enterprise L.R. Chelf' continues in Knifley, KY, today, 90 years later. It no longer sells tractors, but can you guess which present day business traces it's lineage to Mr. Chelf? That shouldn't be too hard. But after you click on the headline, test yourself about the enduring nature of the other six businesses Jim cites as advertisers May 22, 2018 again. 1) One of the businesses is thriving to this day, in a different location and with a different name. 2) At least two of the businesses still operate under virtually the same names, but are in different locations. Recognize them?
Click on headline for story with ad for two International trucks we sure hope someone will have at Re-visit Knifley 2018. Where is Jerry Arnold when we need him???
