CU grad Jerry Brumley promoted by KY Dept of Corrections Promoted to Assistant Supervisor in Probation and Parole District 6. Brumley received his bachelor's degree in criminal justice in 2010 from Campbellsville University. He was selected as Officer of the Year while at Northpoint Training Center in 2010 and as the KCCD Probation and Parole Officer of the Year for 2014-2015. In 2017 Brumley was the recipient of the District 6 Achievement award. He is a recent graduate of the 2017-18 Commissioner's Executive Leadership Program. By Katherine Williams Kentucky Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole Director John Hall today announced the promotion of Jerry Brumley to District 6 assistant supervisor. District 6 covers Boyle, Green, Larue, Marion, Mercer, Nelson, Taylor and Washington counties. "Jerry Brumley is a well-rounded and forward-thinking corrections professional who consistently pursues changes to improve operations," said Hall. "Not only does he have a great attitude, but he has the knowledge and experience to be a strong leader within his district." Brumley began his career with the Department of Mental Health in March 2001 as a patient aide. In 2005 and 2006 he was promoted to different supervisory roles within that department. He transferred to the Department of Corrections at Northpoint Training Center as a correctional officer in November 2006. In 2012 he transferred to the Division of Probation and Parole and became a probation and parole officer for District 6. Throughout his career he has supervised several types of caseloads, including regular felony probation and parole, misdemeanor, and post incarceration supervision. In addition to completing presentence investigation reports and class D job duties, Brumley has assisted with basic academy training, annual officer in-service training, and firearm instruction. He has also served as a recruitment liaison, DNA trainer and public information officer. Brumley received his bachelor's degree in criminal justice in 2010 from Campbellsville University. He was selected as Officer of the Year while at Northpoint Training Center in 2010 and as the KCCD Probation and Parole Officer of the Year for 2014-2015. In 2017 Brumley was the recipient of the District 6 Achievement award.
