Nadine was an office manager and a bookkeeper. She loved spending time with her family, reading and bird watching. She leaves eight direct living descendants. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.

Nadine Carr Fights, 81, of Russell Springs, KY, passed away from this Earth on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, to be with Christ.

The funeral service will be held at 12pmCT/1pmET, on Friday, May 18, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Danny Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.


Nadine (Carr) Fights, Russell Co., KY/Casey native, (1936-2018)


Born on May 22, 1936, in Casey County, KY, she was a daughter of the late James Allen and Edna Pearl Carr Fights. She died Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the age of 81 years, 11 months, and 24 days.

Nadine was an office manager and a bookkeeper. She loved spending time with her family, reading and bird watching.

She is lovingly remembered and missed by:
  • Her daughter: Karla (Dwight) Bastin of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two granddaughters: Jami (Michael) West of Somerset, KY; and Amanda (Larry) Hughes of Salvisa, KY

  • Five great-grandchildren: Chloe, Ashlynn, Anna, Ava and Ansley

  • Two sisters: Margaret (Kenneth) King of Liberty, KY; and Delores Edwards of Mt. Washington, KY

  • Two brothers, Rodney Fights of Elizabethtown, KY; and James Garth Fights of Denton, TX

  • And a host of nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, Nadine is preceded in death by six sisters and one brother.
