Robert Stone: Word list poem 16 Mar 2018

No peace can be unless: a word-list sonnet
By Robert Stone, 16 May 2018
Who has prepared to run a lengthy race
but suddenly must swim to reach far shore
will discombobulated seek safe place
where rest will flesh relax and mind restore.

When needed changes challenge hyphenate
with current disposition malcontent
responses may be sharply argulate
but opal like soft colors represent.

No peace can be unless peace everywhere
for new age reinvented Germany
is waiting for a chance to foolish snare
with songs of glory, pleading urgency.
Arugula is tangy taste acquired,
diversity prevails long as admired.
~ Robert Stone, 16 May 2018
