Lind tied for 6th after 1st round of NAIA Golf Championship

The LWC sophomore is scheduled to tee off in the second round at 2:20pmCT on Wednesday.

Silvis, IL - Rasmus Broholt Lind carded a 2-under par 69 during the first round of competition at the 2018 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships being played at TPC Deere Run, 3100 Heather Knoll, Silvis, IL.

He currently sits in a tie for sixth place in the field of 156 competitors at the par-71, 7,066-yard course.


Lind had a strong start to his round, moving to 3-under through the first eight holes after starting on the back nine. He birdied the par-4 13th, the par-4 14th, and the par-5 17th to go along with five pars in his first eight holes, but finished his first nine at 2-under after a bogey on the par-4 18th.

After a pair of pars on the first and second holes, Lind dropped another stroke after his second and final bogey of the round on the par-3 third. But then he put together a solid finish after that, recording five pars and another birdie, this time on the par-4 eighth to close out his round of 69.

Keiser (Fla.) leads the team competition at 5-under and Keiser's Jack Dyer leads the individual leaderboard at 5-under par.
