James C. Holt, Adair County native, (1962-2018)

He was a sewer technician for Macon Water Authority and a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a member of a highly respected Adair County, KY family, the son of the late Jess & Lyda McGaha Holt. His wife, Rhonda Holt, survives. He leaves three direct and one step living descendants and brothers and sisters and other close relatives in this area of Kentucky and elsewhere.

James C. Holt, 56, of Macon, GA, formerly of Adair County, KY, died Friday, May 11, 2018 in Georgia.

A graveside service will be Friday, May 18, 2108, at 1pmCT, at Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty Road, with Bro. Stanley Watson officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

He was born in Adair County, KY, January 26, 1962. He was the son of the late Jess and Lyda McGaha Holt. He died Friday, May 11, 2018, in Georgia, at the age of 56 years, three months, and 15 days.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Holt and Sara Montress Holt, and one brother; Dallas Holt.

He was a sewer technician for Macon Water Authority and a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Rhonda Holt of Macon, GA

  • One son: Jared (Mackensey) Holt of Macon, GA

  • One daughter: Jessie Holt (Alex Schatte) of Macon, GA

  • One granddaughter: Lana Ren Holt

  • Two brothers: C.J. Holt and Ronnie Holt, both of Columbia, KY

  • Three sisters: Jean (Michael) Callison of Macon, GA; Brenda Alexander of Columbia, KY; and Maryann Wilson of Liberty, KY

  • A step-son: Dustin Vaughn

  • A nephew: Steven Callison

  • and a host of nieces and nephews and friends
