Mary Virginia (Margaret) Perkins, 90, Knifley, KY (1928-2018)

Mrs. Perkins was a member of the Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, and a member of the Cane Valley Homemakers Club. She enjoyed golfing, fishing and flower gardening. She was the matriarch of highly regarded Adair County family, the daughter of the late Rufus and Virgie Grant Dulworth. Her husband of almost three-quarters of a century, Warren H.(Buck) Perkins, survives. She leaves seven direct living descendants.
Mary Virginia "Margaret" Perkins, 90 of Columbia, KY passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at 9:05pmCT, at the Signature Summit Manor Nursing Home in Columbia, KY after several months illness.

Funeral service will be Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 1pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY with Rev. Lannie Garner the officiating clergy. Interment in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, 102 Mt. Carmel Cemetery Road, Columbia, KY. The family requests visiting after 4pmCT, Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.



Pallbearers: Edward "PeeWee" Dulworth, Tom Allen Dulworth, Earl Grant, Bryon Irvin, Daniel Mata, and Mike Smith.

She was born April 22, 1928 in the Mt. Carmel area of Adair County, KY the daughter of the late: Rufus and Virgie Grant Dulworth. She died Monday, May 14, 2018 in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 90 years, 22 days.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Buel Dulworth and Marvin Dulworth

She ia survived by:
    Her husband of 73 years: Warren H. (Buck) Perkins of Columbia, KY
  • One daughter: Lana (Daniel) Mata of Jamestown, TN

  • One son: Tim (Carla) Perkins of Columbia, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Bryon Irvin and Jordon Perkins

  • Two great grandchildren

  • One sister in law: Delpha Dulworth of Breeding, KY

  • Four nieces: Faye Smith, Joan Dulworth, Tammy Ayala, Sherri Dulworth
