Billy Wayne (Todd) Pyles, 68, Russell Co., KY/Adair native (1950-2018)

He was a retired logger and businessman. He was the owner of Pyles Logging. He loved boating, fishing, working on cars and being with his family. He was a member of a large, respected Northeast Adair County, KY, family, the son of the late Johnnie & Rosie Sallee Pyles. He leaves 15 direct living descendants and was father/role model to two more. His final resting place will be in the Ella Community at New Hope Cemetery

Billy Wayne "Todd" Pyles age 68 years of Russell Springs, KY, formerly of Adair County died Sunday May 13, 2018 at 5:33 PM at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY.

The funeral service for Billy Wayne "Todd" Pyles will be at 12pmNoonCT, Wednesday May 16, 2018 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Asa Wooten the officiating clergy. Interment in New Hope Cemetery, 131 New Hope Cemetery Road, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be after 4pmCT, Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at the funeral home.



Billy Wayne "Todd" Pyles, 68, Russell Co., KY/Adair native (1950-2018)


He was born on February 3, 1950, in Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Johnnie & Rosie Sallee Pyles. He died Sunday, May 13, 2018, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 68 years, three months, and 10 days.

He was preceded in death one son, Michael "Mickey" Wayne Pyles on August 4, 2011.

He is survived by:
  • Three daughters: Angela (Randall) Brumley of Jamestown, KY; Kayla (Jesse) Green of Columbia, KY; and Becky Lawson of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sons: Jeff (Jennifer) Pyles and Dusty (Jessica) Pyles, all of Knifley, KY

  • Brother: Tommy Pyles of Campbellsville, KY

  • Four sisters: Shirley Brown of Columbia, KY; Norma Miller of Knifley, KY; Joyce Giles of Knifley, KY; and Kay Wethington of Greensburg, KY

  • He was a father/role model to Drekken Pyles and Jadelyn Pyles

  • Ten grandchildren

  • Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Billy was a retired logger, owner of Pyles Logging. He loved boating, fishing, working on cars and being with his family
