C. A. Meyer of Sycamore Springs: Answer to Mystery ID #78652: Whatizzit - Whatizzit at home in Maple Stump. Click Second photo puts Mystery ID #78652: Whatizzit in perspective for paired photo(s) with second clue before Clicking Read More if you wish to take a second guess before clicking headline and spoiling the puzzle if you still want to test your knowledge. - CM By Cynthia A. Meyer A picture in the second group of pictures I took of the "whatizzit" gives a little better hint as to what it might be . . . It appears the "whatizzit" is about to have breakfast in bed... can you tell what it is now? Yes, it is a tiny wren; it makes its home in the maple stump every night. It seems the resent thunderstorm make the little fellow hold up instead of flying off when I got near. I was able to use the flash to take the pictures which he did not seem to care much about. I guess he assumed the flash was lightning without thunder, and never even bothered to investigate. He usually vacates the premises just as it is light enough to see each morning. I say fellow as I assume it is a male; as all the females in the area have commandeered ornamental antique pitches, milk jugs cut out to wash old paint brushes and a small birdhouse to set up housekeeping to start families. - C.A.
