Election 2018: Pamela Hoots 1st to file for Mayor of Columbia, KY Filing deadline for Non-Partisan City Races and School Board races in Districts 1, 3 and 5, is August 12, 2018. By Ed Waggener Former Mayor and current City Council member Pamela Hoots filed today, at around 11:45amCT, as a candidate for Mayor of the City of Columbia. The race is non-partisan, and will be on the ballot in the November 6, 2018 general election. In filing for the office, Hoots is also, at present, the only candidate for any of the city offices to be decided in November.
