Election 2018: Pamela Hoots 1st to file for Mayor of Columbia, KY


Filing deadline for Non-Partisan City Races and School Board races in Districts 1, 3 and 5, is August 12, 2018.

Former Mayor and current City Council member Pamela Hoots filed today, at around 11:45amCT, as a candidate for Mayor of the City of Columbia. The race is non-partisan, and will be on the ballot in the November 6, 2018 general election.

In filing for the office, Hoots is also, at present, the only candidate for any of the city offices to be decided in November. In addition to Mayor, voters will also elect six council members to two year terms. The Mayor serves a four year term.
