By Jared Odd, Writing Center Coordinator and Instructor of English

On Wednesday, April 25, 2018, Lindsey Wilson College International Student Programs and the Lindsey Wilson College Writing Center hosted an event called "Reverse Culture Shock."

Designed to help students prepare for summer and the coming transition between college and home life, this semiannual event offers students from across the world, and from down the road, information on the stages of culture shock, helpful coping techniques, and stories from peers having experienced the often-surprising period of readjustment as they travel between cultures. "Culture Shock," the event's fall-semester complement, is offered toward the start of the academic year for students transitioning to college life from home.
