Mister P Express breaks ground for new training center

By Linda Waggener

Mister "P" Express, Inc, the award-winning business with owner's roots in Adair County, held a groundbreaking ceremony last week for a new state of the art 15,000 square foot Training School on its Jeffersonville, IN campus.

The new building will have 5,000 square feet of classroom space, 5,000 square feet for auditorium and 5,000 square feet of garage space for the tractors and trailers to be pulled in and through the building.

In the school's original space, they have the ability to train 20-24 drivers every two weeks. Since inception, the Mister "P" training program has graduated over 1,000 drivers. In the new facility, the expansion will allow for as many as 105 drivers every two weeks.

Mister "P" Express Over The Road (OTR) Driving School offers students an intense, hands-on course that will prepare them for an entry level position as a professional driver. The company's skilled, experienced training team prepares students to pass both the written and practical sections of the Commercial Drivers License (CDL) examinations. The Mister "P" certified training program is specifically designed to provide the skills needed to begin a long and prosperous career as an over the road truck driver.

Mister "P" Express was founded by Adair County native Allan Mercer Parnell with his wife Bunny and daughter Cynthia who brought her sales, marketing, training and management experience to the company. Today she is the Mister "P" Express C.E.O. and President.
