Christine Smith Hansford of Liberty, KY, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Casey County Hospital.

Cremation rites were chosen at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Christine Smith Hansford was born February 25, 1929 in Casey County, KY. She was a daughter of John Jacob and Mary Ellis Dick Smith. She died Monday, April 16, 2018, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 89 years, one month, and 22 days..

She was a wonderful wife and mother. She was a member of Walnut Hill Separate Baptist Church and former employee of Liberty Sportswear.

Survivors include
  • One daughter: Rhonda Burton of Liberty, KY

  • One brother: Ancil Smith of Indiana;

  • Five grandchildren

  • Nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Edgar Hansford, who passed away October 27, 1991; one son, William Dean Hansford; three brothers, Buster, Oscar, and William Smith; six sisters, Manilla Ellison, Rella Hines, Della McAninch, Dean Hinson, Ora Gadberry, and Marie Drostie; and one great-grandchild.
